The Acura RDX is a small sized crossover SUV.
The RDX was introduced during 2006 at the New York Auto Show.
Basically, MDX was the Acura’s fundamental model and the RDX evolved from MDX.
Dimensions of the Acura RDX were same as that of Honda CR-V and this car was developed on the all-wheel drive mechanism.
The interior of Acura RDX can seat up to five passengers and produced with standard features such as automatic climate control, a moonroof, and all remaining required power features.

First Generation (2006 – Present)
Talking about the Acura RDX first generation, it was powered by turbocharged gasoline engines that powered the Honda too. It had a 2.3-litre straight-4 K23A1 engine with all-aluminum construction, dual balance shafts, and i-VTEC head. The engine was featured a top-mounted intercooler that received air from the bumper, directed by ducting beneath the hood.
Acura RDX first generation engine had following specs:
• 240 bhp (179.0 kW; 243.3 PS) at 6000 rpm
• Peak torque of 260 lb-ft (350 N-m) at 4500 rpm
According to the US EPA (Environmental Protection Agency), the estimated fuel economy was 23 mpg-US (10 L/100 km; 28 mpg-imps) highway miles per gallon and 19 mpg-US (12 L/100 km; 23 mpg-imp) city. The terrain and driving style can play a key part in the car’s fuel economy.
The 7-speaker audio system of RDX featured an in-dash 6-CD changer that was capable of performing traditional Audio CDs, and Data-CDs burned by either WMA or MP3 files, it also played DVD-A type CDs. Sound system of the Acura RDX also included with XM Satellite Radio by a secondary XM Satellite Radio.
